The vase “Impressions” in bisquit porcelain, partly glazed. (Design Veit Streitenberger)
The internationally renowned designer Veit Streitenberger from Frankfurt found an unusual way,
to take up the traditional design vocabulary of the Höchster Porzellan-Manufaktur 1746 and implement it in a contemporary way. Here, a perfect bridge was built between tradition and modernity. In the artist series Impressions, historical porcelain forms meet modern geometric bodies and leave their impressions in them. In this way a cubic vase with the imprint of the classic trumpet vase – vase impressions was created.
The charming formal contrast between tradition and modernity is even more enhanced by the different treatment of the surfaces. Thus the classic shapes untreated, whereas the modern geometric blocks with a noble white glaze are coated.
The vase is dishwasher safe.
