The Dürer Hare, a sculpture by Ottmar Hörl, was first formed with his permission as a porcelain sculpture in the Höchster Porzellan-Manufaktur. Ottmar Hörl became known above all for his diverse sculptures on topics of everyday life. The sculptural works of Ottmar Hörl deal with the topic of standardization, equalization of everyday objects. His exhibitions in this field resemble spectacles. In his probably most famous work, “Das große Hasenstück”, the artist dedicated himself in 2003 to Dürer’s world-famous watercolor of rabbits, staging over 7,000 rabbits on the main market in Nuremberg.
